Insurance Requirements


In order to qualify as a Contractor for HBS, your company is required to maintain the below listed required minimum insurance coverages at all times. Failure to maintain active insurance coverage as defined will result in the termination of any contracts you hold with HBS. Your certificate of insurance must list Hyp-tro Building Services, LLC as “Additional Insured.”


1. GENERAL LIABILITY COVERAGE
A. Commercial General Liability
(a) $1,000,000 general aggregate
(b) $ 1,000,000 products - completed operations aggregate
(c) $ 1,000,000 Personal injury and advertising injury
(d) $ 1,000,000 each occurrence limit

2. BUSINESS AUTOMOBILE COVERAGE
A. Minimum Limits - $ 1,000,000 Combined Single Limit for Bodily Injury and Property Damage each accident
B. Must cover liability for "Any Auto" - including Owned, Non-Owned and Hired Automobile Liability

3. WORKERS COMPENSATION AND EMPLOYERS LIABILITY
A. Must carry coverage for Statutory Workers Compensation and Employers Liability minimum limit of:
$100,000 Each Accident
$500,000 Disease Policy Limit
$100,000 Disease - Each Employee

4. ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS
* Additional Insured – On the General Liability Coverage, Automobile, Hyp-tro Building Services, LLC,

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Payment Terms



As compensation for services performed, Hyp-tro Building Services, LLC® (HBS) schedules two vendor payment runs each month, on the 15th and 30th. For your convenience, HBS offers the convenience of direct deposit payment option, or can also issue a paper check.
Vendor payments are made following receipt of payment from the Subcontractor’s customer(s).
Contractors must submit a monthly written invoice; on his/her own company’s letterhead for each month work is performed in order to obtain payment. Invoices must be received by the 10th of each month for payment to be processed that same month, and must include Contractor’s name and mailing address, invoice number, name of service account, and period of service, as well as amount due for each location contracted. Invoices can be sent in any one of the ways listed below.

Contractor should understand that any scheduled or unscheduled Customer or account company closings, including but not limited to: Holidays, Acts of God or nature, or issues relating to nonperformance or service deficiencies later resulting in a fine or financial deduction received from their customer will be charged back against payments to the Contractor. In the case of ongoing monthly service contracts, if the contract begins or ends at any point less than a full month of service, compensation will be pro-rated for the days of service actually performed.

Before applying to be a contractor for Hyp-tro Building Services,LLC:


1) You SHOULD clearly understand that you:
a. Are applying with the intention to either establish or continue growing your own independent business that complies with Maryland’s strict definitions of an independent business (State Stats 594.124)
b. Will need to file business income tax returns each and every year, reporting your company’s earnings, and any other required State or Federal tax reports, and if requested, you must provide proof of filing to HBS.
c. Should be able to speak or read & write at least basic English, or your company may not be
eligible to be offered some accounts where the customer has indicated the importance of
being able to directly communicate (in English) with the custodial staff.
d. Should already currently have a regular income or other means necessary to cover your basic living expenses, as well as sufficient capital or credit to invest in supporting your business as it grows.
e. May need to pass state and federal criminal background checks, as well as successfully pass drug testing if asked, for both yourself and any staff that will work in your accounts.
f. Are NOT being promised or guaranteed employment or accounts with Hyp- tro Building Services, LLC, and that in order to be offered any contracts, or additional contracts, you will need to have set up your business properly and legally, consistently maintain required liability and workman’s compensation insurance as required by the State of Wisconsin, and maintain all your accounts in satisfactory status in order to be offered additional contracts. You further fully understand that all AMS contractors are required to EARN the opportunity to be offered contracts by their demonstrated professionalism, and that HBS offers and awards contracts to those who HBS management in their sole discretion deems the best fit for any particular contract(s).
g. Will be required to meet both HBS and their client’s standards for quality workmanship, communication, safety and security at all times while under contract to service any HBS accounts.

Here’s who SHOULD NOT apply to be a contractor for HBS:


1) DO NOT apply if you do not currently have the means to support yourself financially while you are building your business, as well as the additional capital necessary for janitorial products, equipment, labor, insurances, etc.
2) DO NOT apply if you do not have documentation to show you are legally employable in Maryland, or the United States.
3) DO NOT apply if you intend to hire employees that are not legally employable in Maryland or the United States.
4) DO NOT apply if you are currently under any contract that restricts you from contracting with other companies in the Janitorial Industry (example: you own a janitorial franchise with another company, and/or have signed a non-compete clause with them.)
5) DO NOT apply if you are planning to falsely set someone else up as the legal owner of your business to avoid any of the issues listed above in #’s 2-4.
